The following is a small sample of the various charitable projects made by Ladies Circle India
1. BRAILLE BOOKS distributed to the BLIND SCHOOL on Children’s Day –
St.LOUIS INSTITUTE FOR THE DEAF & BLIND – We gave 3 volumes of Braille Books in English to each and every blind child studying from the 6th to 9th std. in this school. The children were very happy to receive this and this was seen in their insistence on reading from that book and to show us.
Project cost – Rs.11,242/- - 50 blind children
2.Madras Metro Ladies Circle 70(MMLC70)
CONSTRUCTION OF A SCIENCE LAB OF 1200sqft.-
The Newly Constructed Science Block is approx. 1275 sqft. It will have a Physics Lab of 600 sqft and a Chemistry Lab of 600 sqft each. It has been constructed at a cost of approx. Rs.12 Lakhs, of which MMLC 70 will be sponsoring Rs.4 Lakhs.
The fully equipped modern Lab will now be utilized by the students of 9th, 10th and 11th Std. Separate labs for each subject will enable the students to do their practicals in an independent manner, which will induce their interest even more towards the subject.
Nearly 350 children will benefit Every Year from this Project.

3. MUKTI FOUNDATION – Limb donaton (MMLC 70)
We donated limbs to the poor needy men and women who could possibly be able to walk around to earn a living for their family.
We sponsored 5 men, 4 women and an 8 year old girl for their limbs. This 8 yr old girl became very sentimental as she had lost her leg 2 yrs back in a bus accident and never thought she would be able to walk to school again.
Project cost – Rs.20,000/-

4. March 12th – MMLC 70 CHARTER DAY
Tiles layed at Ground floor and 6 classrooms – for better environment of education.
On this special day MMLC-70 and MMRT 95 did a join project at MARY
CLUBWALA SCHOOL FOR THE DISABLED. It was our priviledge to have
layed tiles for 6 classrooms and the corridor of the Ground Floor
A school where hearing impaired children come to study, and would now do so in
a Better and cleaner environment. We also distributed biscuits, stationary and
fruits. 5 students appearin for their 10th publics received a Hero pen each.
Project cost – Rs.34,000/- ( borne by both Rs.17,000/- each for tiles.)
- 120 children study in this school.
5.Madras Metro Ladies Circle 70 (MMLC70)
CONSTRUCTION OF 5 CLASS ROOMS – at Vivekananda Vidyalaya Minjur
The 5 additionally classroom constructed on the 2nd floor is approx. 3500 sqft, with each classroom being aprox.600 sqft. They have been constructed at the cost of approx. Rs.27 Lakhs of which MMLC 70 will be sponsoring Rs.4 Lakhs.
The construction of these 5 classrooms, we have been told has come, at a very needy time to the school, when the school needed to expand and start its 11th std and accommodate the present children in a better environment. The students who previously were accommodated in the shed class rooms, will now have classrooms with a roof.
Nearly 150 children will benefit Every Year from this project.

6. SMALC-91 WENT ALONG WITH TABLERS OF SMART 175 AND 41NERS OF TABLE 115 TO PANCHAYAT UNION MIDDLE SCHOOL AT MANGUPPAI, OMALUR TALUK, SALEM AT 8.30 AM ON 15TH AUG. SCHOOL STAFF HAD ARRANGED FLAG HOISTING WITH LOT OF FLOWERS. WE GAVE THEM BISCUITS AND CHOCLATES, FLAG PINS TO THE STUDENTS. WE INVITED POLIMER CHANNEL PEOPLE WHO TOOK THE COVERAGE OF THE WHOLE PGM AND TELECASTED THE PGM ON 15TH AT 7.30 PM IN THE EVENING. THIS PROJECT GAVE A BIG SMILE ON THEIR FACES WHICH WAS WORTH SEEING.
THERE WAS DANCE PERFORMANCE ARRANGED BY THE SCHOOL STUDENTS.
WE WERE VERY TOUCHED BY THE WARM WELCOME AND THEIR HOSPITALITY.

7.BEST PROJECT OF COIMBATORE METROPOLITAN LADIES CIRCLE 23 FOR THE YEAR 2010-2011.
It was the donation of Laproscopic Surgical Equipment to the department of Pediatric Surgery,Coimbatore Medical Government Hospital.
Cost of the Project was Rs 1,50,000.This project was donated in the presence of the District Collector Dr.Umanath IAS.
In India Government run Hospitals usually lack advanced Medical Equipments.This was one opportunity for Coimbatore Metropolitan Ladies Circle 23 to step in and provide patients of Government Hospital the same advanced sophisticated treatment given in Private Hospital.We also had the good fortune of helping an infant who needed emergency treatment.The surgeon in the hospital, made use of the equipment even before we officially handed over the Equipments.These Surgical Equipment will prove the valuable asset to the hospital for saving future lines.
